General Description
GL600 LED Grow Light is a compact design offered with and
integrated drive. All parts of the fixutre are clear anodized
and hardware is stainless steel to avoid corrosion. It is
designed for easy suspended mount using eye bolts. No

Important metrics of a horicultre lighting system
The spectrum to which plants are most sensitive varies with
the species, but for most plants it is very similar to the visual
spectrum to humans sensitivity, approximately 400-700nm
This is the range that stimulates photosynthesis. Any
photons with this spectrum that are absorbed by the plant
will contribute to photosynthesis. But not all wavelengths
have an equal likelihood of being absorbed due to the
various plant pigments present. As with human visions, plants
are more likely to respond to absorb light in specific
wavelengths.
Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) which
measures the amount of PAR that actually arrives at the
plant. PPFD is a 'spot' measurement of a specific location
on your plant canopy. If you want to find out the true light
intensity of a lamp over a designated growing area such as
5 feet by 5 feet, set at the recommended light mounting
height of 18 inches, then take measurements over multiple
locations on the grid and not just the center reading. This
will give the actual PPFD measurements.
